How do you prepare for High Adventure?
Well, the 2023 Philmont Crew along with some other fellow Scouts from Troop 152 planned and then took a 2-night trip to Wadewitz Park on a on a fall preparation hike. As fall in Wisconsin is always changing, they enjoyed, rain, sleeping in temps below freezing, and a beautifully sunny but brisk day to set out on a 5-mile hike carrying full packs. Upon returning to camp, they enjoyed a campfire and sampled some of their cooking as they worked to prepare some dehydrated back packing meals. Come early spring in 2023 until their trip in June they plan on getting in several more trips to get ready for their trip to Philmont in June of 2023.
